In the event of an emergency or where the insured needs to act quickly to mitigate their losses, please encourage them to act as a prudent uninsured, take pictures of the damage and document their actions in order to submit for review by Insurers as soon as possible. Please do not wait for policy review if your damage is urgent and there is a way to reasonably mitigate your losses swiftly. Your actions will be taken into consideration as part of the review against your policy for all costs incurred in the first instance pending acceptance of the claim.

We can also assist to organise a make safe on a Without Prejudice basis pending review and policy response to the circumstances that have given rise to make a claim. Please ensure the insured understands that failing policy cover for their claim, these costs would be directed to them to incur, however we are able to assist with fast acting resources if required.

We also ask that the insured is made aware of any Cyclone Deductible on their policy prior to lodgement.
